Efren Peñaflorida was named the CNN Hero of the Year on November 2009. Another reason for Filipinos to be proud of. But, who really is Efren Peñaflorida?
Peñaflorida is a teacher and a social worker in the Philippines. The founder and head of the Dynamic Teen Company which offers filipino youths an alternative to street gangs through education, rendering school classes in an unconventional settings such as the cemeteries and trash dumps.
Peñaflorida's father is a tricyle driver while his mother is a stay-at-home mom or a housewife. In 2000, he graduated with a degree in Computer Technology and pursued a second course "Secondary Education graduating from Cum Laude .
Through his kind heart and great help to the youth, he has been an inspiration to those who know him. He is loved by the world.
Everyone knows that Efren Peñaflorida is a great man and he should be one that everyone should follow.
